  • Always red the label.
    Depending on presentation, open packet or peel down at chevron seal
  • Remove dressing with forceps or gloved hand
  • Put the dressing smoothly on the wound
  • Use an appropriate absorbent secondary dressing to handle excess exudate if appropriate such as Melolin or Melolite
  • Retain the dressing using a bandage or adhesive material.
