  • Iron is an essential constituent of the body, being necessary for haemoglobin formation and the oxidative processes of living tissues
  • Folic acid is a member of the vitamin B group
  • Folic acid is reduced in the body to tetrahydrofolate, which is a coenzyme for various metabolic processes
  • Vitamin B12 is essential for normal growth, haematopoiesis, production of all epithelial cells and maintenance of myelin throughout the nervous system
  • Whenever nucleic acid synthesis occurs and therefore whenever cells reproduction occurs, vitamin B12 is required
  • The Vitamin C in Iron Melts has been included to increase the absorption of iron from the gastrointestinal tract into blood.

    Patients who are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients in Iron Melts
  • Phenylketonuria- Iron Melts contain phenylalanine
  • Oral iron therapy should not be given to patients intolerant to oral iron or unable to absorb it; in patients with ulcerative colit.
    Each Iron Melts chewable tablet contains- Ferrous Fumarate 25.4 mg Equivalent Iron 5 mg, Folic Acid 250 mcg, Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 10 mcg, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) 50 mg.
