    Allersoothe (Promethazine HCL) is an antihistamine used to treat symptoms of allergies such as a runny nose, itchiness, watery eyes, or mild skin reactions
  • It also has anti-nausea properties making it useful for preventing motion sickness.

    Use with caution in children under the age of 2 as medication may cause slow or shallow breathing that may be fatal
  • Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction
  • Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives
  • Allersoothe is not always suitable for all patients
  • Always consult your health care provider prior to using this medication if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if you have any allergies or other health problems
  • The correct dosage and prescription commonly depend on the patient and the condition being treated

  • For treatment of allergies, vomit or nausea, it is usually taken 1 to 4 times per day
  • For treatment of motion sickness, patient should take the medication 30 to 60 minutes before travel
  • For extended travel, a second dose may be taken after 8 hours
  • The exact dosage will depend on the patient and the use of the medication, consult your doctor for correct dosage.
